New Firehouse Groundbreaking: Friday November 21 at 9am

The McKownville Fire District and Department extends an invitation to our informal ground breaking event for our new station located at 1250 Western Ave on Friday, November 21st at 9 AM.

This ceremony marks the initiation of construction and the conclusion of many years of planning for this station. We hope you can attend!

We strongly encourage walking to the site if at all possible, as parking is severely limited. There is no parking available at the firehouse site due to ongoing construction.

Additionally, out of respect to our neighboring local businesses we kindly request that you not use their parking lots. 

Public Information Meeting #2 Wrapup

Thank you, McKownville neighbors, for another productive public meeting last night! We had a productive dialog about the proposed new firehouse, receiving over ten new questions about the project.

We took notes again, and like the first public meeting on October 25, 2023, the questions asked by the community (with answers) will be included on the new building project page.

Pubic Information Meeting About the Proposed New McKownville Fire House

At 7pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the McKownville Firehouse at 1250 Western Avenue, the McKownville Fire District will host the first of two public information meetings about the proposed new firehouse.

More information about the new building project will be collected and posted to mckfd.org/building.

It is our goal to be as open and transparent as possible, and we hope you can join us for the meeting on the 25th.
